What Makes a Chosen One Donor?

We understand that our parents entrust us with providing donor options and we are happy to share that we make the effort to provide high-quality donors who possess several amazing qualities.

The Screening Process

Medical Screening

The medical screening may include a doctor consultation, comprehensive blood tests (including HIV, hepatitis, syphilis, blood type), a pap smear/cervical culture, urinalysis, and a drug screening. In most cases, the potential donor will receive a hormone blood test, as well as a vaginal ultrasound, to check ovarian and reproductive health.

Genetic Screening

A genetic test is a simple blood or saliva test that checks if you carry any inherited conditions that could be passed on to a child, such as cystic fibrosis. It helps ensure the healthiest possible outcome and allows intended parents to make informed decisions.

Psychological Screening

The egg donation process can be emotionally and psychologically stressful for some donors. In order to make sure that potential donors understand the process, are psychologically stable, and are emotionally prepared to become donors, a psychological evaluation is administered by a psychologist or social worker.

Donors between the ages of 18 and 30 who pass our initial screening and are deemed healthy and fit for donation are welcome to submit their portfolio and join our donor pool. Every donor we accept meets our careful criteria and has submitted a detailed portfolio, because we believe you deserve nothing less.

Once we take the time to truly understand your needs and preferences, we’ll begin identifying donors who are the right match for you. We’ll share their full portfolios with you and be by your side throughout the entire selection process.

Each of our donors goes through a thorough evaluation to make sure they’re fully ready for the donation journey. Screening covers a genetic evaluation, psychological assessment, medical screening, personality test, and medical history review, all in line with your fertility clinic’s requirements and FDA guidelines. The evaluation is usually completed in just one visit and can take place at your clinic or wherever is most convenient for the donor.

As a result of the impeccable quality of our donor eggs, our egg bank has a 78% cumulative pregnancy success rate, one of the highest success rates in the industry!
